Hello, I was wondering how much would booking a flight be for the Plainville festival on the 23/24th of August? I would love to take my boyfriend on a flight as a chance to take him to do something we’ve both never done and a once in a lifetime experience for him to remember since he has never been to this festival before. Get back to me when you can thank you!!

At this time we are unaware of any local commercial operators booking passengers for the Plainville festival, sorry.

Hi there. Looking to book a tethered flight at the festival, depending on the cost. Could someone reach out to me. Thank you

At present none of the locals has indicated they are tethering, and we do not know if any of those coming from out of state will be. Sorry, you’ll have to connect with a pilot on the field.

None of the local pilots are booking rides for Plainville; sorry. There may be folks coming from out of town who have openings but you would need to connect with them at the festival.

    Good day to all
as of 8/22/24 I have reached out to almost every pilots on the list above they either have retired or not participating in this year’s event, they should update the FAQ,,because if I not wrong you have to register 1st prior to the date, I do not think you can just go on the date & purchase tickets for the rides unless it has changed, I myself never been on a ballon ride it’s on my bucket list no pun LOL

There are only a handful of commercial pilots flying who can legally take paying passengers, and most of these are either booked or do not take paying passengers at the festival. The balloon festival is really about watching the balloons, not booking a flight, since many of the pilots have their private license only and fly friends and family for fun. The best way to book a balloon flight is to connect with a balloon company and book a flight on a non-festival date.

Hi! I know this has been asked and no one knows if hey will be doing tethered flights at all but a big IF they do, would it only Fri nights or on Sat also? I know it’s not guaranteed and you are just guessing, which I appreciate that you are even responding at all!! Thanks so much!
